Livelihood & Skill Enhancement
- As part of our CSR initiatives, our Company trains unemployed youth through our Mobile Training Academy and empower women through livelihood interventions. We conducted a 3-day 'Basic Training in Painting' workshop for women in Lucknow, providing theoretical and hands-on training to enhance their painting skills and foster creativity. This initiative aims to support the socio-economic development of the community and equip participants for a brighter future.
Promoting Education
- In our commitment to education, we distributed Anganwadi Kits to new Model Anganwadi Centres near the Jainpur Plant in Kanpur, earning appreciation from the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. We also collaborate with educational institutes to support learning in rural areas, providing training and guidance to underprivileged students. Our efforts include renovating science labs, installing drinking water and solar power facilities, and constructing classrooms and boundary walls in various schools. These initiatives aim to significantly enhance educational infrastructure.
Rural/Community Development
- We have launched several initiatives to support local communities near our plants. We painted boundary walls with environmental slogans to promote sustainability and conservation and conducted fencing and maintenance to enhance safety and appearance. Notably, we focused on providing basic infrastructure and facilities to rural communities, aiming to improve their living standards by ensuring access to essential services. These efforts reflect our commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen and giving back to the communities that host our operations.
Preventive Health Care and Sanitation
- Near our Goindwal plant, we organized an “Eye check up and Cataract Surgery” camp to support the local community. The initiative addressed vision impairment by providing essential eye checkups and cataract surgeries, ensuring quality healthcare for those in need. The community-focused effort aligns with our corporate goals to positively impact the well-being of the local population.
Ensuring Environmental Sustainability
- KNPL undertook a tree plantation drive in various locations near our Jainpur Plant in Kanpur. We employed the environmentally conscious ‘Miyawaki Technique,’ during this drive, with the aim to enhance ecological sustainability and biodiversity. This innovative method involves planting a diverse array of native species in a dense, multi-layered pattern, fostering rapid growth and creating a resilient and self-sustaining ecosystem. Such green initiatives embody our dedication to promoting environmental conservation and building a healthier and more sustainable future for the communities we serve.
